In celebration of Women's History Month, St. John's University will host the Women of Distinction and St. Louise de Marillac Awards ceremony. The awards are presented to women who have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in the University community. At the ceremony, Managing Director, Eileen White, J.D., '86L of Goldman Sachs & Co. will deliver the keynote address. Ms. White served as Special Counsel and Chief of Staff to John Cardinal O'Connor, Archbishop of New York from 1986 until 2000.
"I think it's wonderful for us to honor women who have enriched our community through their leadership, commitment and desire to make it a better place," said Mary Pelkowski, Director of Campus Activities. "It is my hope that young women follow the examples set by our honorees."
