Exploring Formulation and
Manufacturing Problems in Pharmaceutical
Sciences
The development and processing of newer molecules has
become a challenge because of its marginal solubility in the
absorbing medium. In order to improve their bioavailability, it
becomes necessary to improve the solubility rate of drug
substances.
The Serajuddin Research Lab provides the theoretical and
experimental resources available to attack the various
formulation and manufacturing problems faced by today's
pharmaceutical industry. The span of research
projects and interests within the lab is remarkable,
and include:
- Enhancement of the solubility rate of poorly water soluble
drugs through various techniques
- Development of novel dosage forms
- Examination of the salt forms of drugs
- The stabilization of the amorphous drug structure
