Professional Experience
Dr. Mantell served as a post-doctoral fellow at the Cold Spring
Harbor Laboratory. Immediately prior to coming to St. John’s, Dr.
Mantell was Director of Cardiopulmonary Research for the North
Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System and she taught as an adjunct
faculty member at our University. Dr. Mantell’s research
efforts have been in toxicology and pharmacology with a focus on
the cellular and molecular mechanisms of oxygen toxicity. She will
teach courses in toxicology and the pharmaceutical sciences.
