Complaint Process

In compliance with the United States Department of Education’s Program Integrity Rule, all Online Learning students have a right to make a complaint. St. John’s University students are encouraged to first follow established procedures within the University to file complaints. Information on these procedures is available by contacting the Office of Distance Education at (718) 990-2353. In the unlikely event that an issue cannot be resolved by the University, the student can file a complaint with their respective state licensing authority or St. John’s University accrediting body. A listing of contact information for individual states licensing authorities is located here. St. John’s University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The commission provides a complaint procedure against its accredited institutions. The complaint procedure is located here.
