Undergraduate degrees in Sociology, Anthropology and a minor in
Social Work prepare students for entry level jobs in many fields
including criminal justice, health care, social work. The analytic
and critical thinking skills gained from these degree programs are
valuable to anyone pursuing advanced degrees in law, social
science, or social work to name a few. Our internships in Sociology
and Social Work, fieldwork experiences in Anthropology and ties
with the alumni have helped students obtain their first
professional jobs.
Our faculty are involved in numerous research efforts to improve
the quality of life for individuals as far away as India to those
close to home at the Bread and Life Soup Kitchen in Brooklyn.
Although we are recognized scholars in our fields, we put students
first. We take advisement seriously, and to the extent possible,
help students obtain employment, and/or admittance into graduate
programs.
