You can prepare for these opportunities through the Bachelor of Arts Degree Program in Sociology offered by St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This 126-credit program provides students with a solid theoretical background in sociology along with the analytical and practical skills necessary for meaningful careers in a wide variety of fields.

The concepts you learn, analytical skills you develop and experience you gain through hands-on research and sophisticated academic technology will give you an edge in the job market. Graduates of the program go on to positions in academic and government research, policy analysis, program evaluation and other social science endeavors. The degree also prepares you for advanced graduate study, including law school.   

The Department of Sociology also offers a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology as well as a combined B.A./M.A. in Sociology.
