Clinical and Research InterestsDr. McDonough’s clinical interests lie in serving the mental health needs of children and families from underprivileged backgrounds. Her past experience includes therapeutic work with adolescents from inner city neighborhoods who required a high level of care in residential treatment. Currently, she acts as consulting psychologist to a local social service agency providing preventive services to families experiencing mental health or substance-related problems. Dr. McDonough’s research interests include suicide risk assessment and suicide prevention as well as academic interventions for children with learning disabilities.
