Academic Resources

Physical Science majors enjoy the outstanding academic resources for which St. John’s is known. These include recently refurbished computer and science laboratories as well as wireless access to the University’s award-winning network. In addition, all new students receive their own wireless laptop computers.

Students also may choose from a wide variety of student activities which are specific to the major as well as student clubs and organizations that enhance their academic studies, including the Math Club.

Other resources include high-tech classrooms and a 1.7 million-volume University Library systems and new facilities like the DaSilva Academic Center, on the Staten Island campus, and the D’Angelo Center, on the Queens campus.

Students also enjoy the many cultural and professional benefits accruing from St. John’s New York location including the faculty and Career Center’s relationships with leading business and educational resources through the area. In addition, they have the option to take part in the University’s innovative study abroad programs — further expanding their educational and experiential horizons.
