The Biological Physics Certificate is awarded to students who
complete a regimen of courses in the four host departments,
Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Required courses are,
(i) BIO 1210; 1220 and BIO 3390, (ii) CHE 1210; 1220 and CHE 2230;
2240, (iii) MTH 1210; 1220 or MTH 1730; 1740, (iv) PHY 1930; 1940,
PHY 1970, 2150, 3100 and (v) 6 elective credits approved by the
department, preferably from BIO 3470, CSC 1390, and PHY 3510 or PHY
3210. Certificate courses may overlap with the student's major and
minor sequences.
To assure an orderly sequence of studies, students must have the
approval of the Physics Department in St. John's College for each
semester's courses. Some modifications of the requirements can be
accepted when approved by the department.
