Prof. Chasen-Cerreta is an integral part of the Online Learning Program at St. John's University. She was the
first the exclusive instructor of the Pedagogy 1 and Pedagogy
2 faculty development courses, which service faculty
University-wide in all campuses.
Completion of the Online Learning Pedagogy 1 online course is
required for teaching in the University’s Online Learning
program, while Online Learning Pedagogy 2 is an optional online
course covering more advanced teaching techniques useful for online
and hybrid classes.
She also assisted in developing online Blackboard tutorials for
faculty use and initiated the Online Learning Mentors, a
volunteer group of experienced online faculty who act to mentor
other faculty teaching online for their first time.
