Prof. Chasen-Cerreta is an integral part of the Distance
Learning Program at St. John's University. She is the exclusive
instructor of the Pedagogy 1 and Pedagogy 2 faculty development
courses, which service faculty University-wide in all campuses.
Completion of the Distance Learning Pedagogy 1 online course is
required for teaching in the University’s Distance Learning
program, while Distance Learning Pedagogy 2 is an optional online
course covering more advanced teaching techniques useful for online
and hybrid classes.
She also develops online Blackboard tutorials for faculty use in
developing their classes and leads faculty Blackboard
workshops.
Additionally, she coordinates the Distance Learning Mentors, a
volunteer group of experienced online faculty who act to mentor
other faculty teaching online for their first time.
