PHY 3100: Biological Physics

The physical laws most relevant to life. Energy and its transformation in organisms; Information and the programming of life processes; Entropy and the creation of order by living systems; Quantum mechanics and its role in chemistry and in the mutability and permanence of life.

No prior study of physics required.
