PROFILE
Michael Schrynemakers has been a member of the Philosophy Department since 1996.  His areas of specialization are philosophy of physics, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and the philosophy of science and religion. He has a special interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and has developed several methods for engaging students and for teaching critical thinking. He has created, in collaboration with Intelligent Innovations, Inc., AnalysisMap, an online critical thinking teaching tool, and SyllabusMap, an online assessment tool, and is currently developing an online tool for role-playing pedagogy. He is currently writing a book analyzing and evaluating the claim that God would only allow evil if allowing it is necessary for a greater good.
