PROFILE
Robert E. Lauder, a Brooklyn Diocesan priest, has been a member of
the Philosophy Department since 1985. Father Lauder has
written a weekly column for the Catholic Press popularizing
philosophy for almost 40 years. This column has been
published regularly in the newspapers The Long Island Catholic and
The Brooklyn Tablet. Father Lauder has had approximately 10
essays published in the Sunday Arts and Leisure section of The New
York Times, and is now a regular contributor to the Culture section
of the Jesuit weekly, America. He has an
international reputation as a film critic and has published widely
on philosophy and film. Father Lauder’s philosophy might be
described as a Thomistic Personalism.
