My name is Andrea Herrera. I am a double major in Biology and
French and plan on going to medical school once I graduate from St.
John’s. With the help of the French department, I was able to
obtain a month-long internship in France. The internship took place
in the laboratory of the Drôme-Nord Hospital in the French town of
Romans-Sur-Isere.
Through the internship, not only did I receive three credits
towards my French degree, but I also bettered my French
conversation and comprehension skills, as well as gained knowledge
in the biology field. The people of the town and hospital were very
kind and welcoming, making my experience in France even more
memorable. I hope that more students would experience the
excitement of going abroad and encountering a different culture
first hand.
