Profile

A specialist of European history, my research interests have ranged broadly across topics in the late medieval and early modern eras, principally of France.  My studies include works on the intersection between politics and religious belief, technology and craft practices, cities and siege warfare, and landscapes and cartography.  I am involved in a number of ongoing editing ventures, such as H-France, an online journal on French history and culture, and as series editor for Early Modern Studies published by Truman State University Press.
