Combined Degree Programs

BA/ MA History
The Department of History offers intensive, accelerated combined degree programs leading to the B.A. and one of two M.A. degrees in five years of full-time study.  Qualified undergraduate students who will have completed 60 credits with a 3.0 cumulative index and a 3.5 index for 12 credits in history are encouraged to apply.  Students in the B.A./M.A. program matriculate for a total of 147 credits, 33 of which are on the graduate level.  Those electing the thesis option must complete 6 credits of Master’s Research (HIS 900).  Students choosing the non-thesis option complete 6 credits of coursework in lieu of HIS 900.
