St. John’s College of
Liberal Arts and Sciences, the 126-credit program provides
students with the analytical skills necessary to evaluate political
issues and function effectively in political environments. Students
also gain the writing and communications skills needed for success
in any field.

Students majoring in government and politics are adept at
navigating the political landscape and posses extensive knowledge
in the various areas of government, through courses in:
- American Government, with an emphasis on
political institutions and public law
- International Relations and Comparative
Politics, with an emphasis on area studies
- Political Theory, with offerings in
classical, modern, and contemporary thought
- Public Administration and Public Service,
with a focus on research methods and quantitative analysis
