Our educational philosophy is grounded in educating our students to be sensitive, respectful, knowledgeable practitioners in the field of improving the abilities of communicatively-impaired persons. In this regard, we insure that our teaching encourages our trainees’ appreciation of the diversity of our society and the value of all members of that society, especially, for us, those individuals whose communication disabilities may hinder their social functioning. This approach involves formulating course content that reflects the fundamental principles of STJ’s Catholic, Vincentian, and Metropolitan mission. 2008-2013 Strategic Plan
