The Department of Biology offers an intensive, accelerated combined degree program leading to both the B.S. and M.S. degrees in five years of full-time study. Qualified undergraduates who will have completed 60 credits with a 3.0 cumulative index and a 3.5 for 12 credits in Biology are encouraged to apply. Students in the B.S./M.S. program matriculate for a total of 144 credits, 33 of which are on the graduate level. Those electing the thesis option must complete 6 credits of Master’s Research (BIO 900). Students choosing the non-thesis option complete 6 credits of coursework in lieu of BIO 900.
