St. John's University is embracing the biotechnology revolution
through a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort between the
College of Pharmacy's Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and St.
John's College's Department of Biological Sciences. These
departments have developed a Master of Science Degree in
Biological and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology to enable our
students to take part in this revolutionary industry.
Curriculum
The curriculum consists of 33 credits. Eighteen of these
are part of the core curriculum, which includes a one semester
internship to be completed at a site off-campus during the final
semester of the program. There are 15 elective credits. This
arrangement provides for a strong conceptual foundation upon which
students build the practical skills necessary in this exciting
field.
