February 14, 2011 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Global Studies Conference Room (Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall)

Interested in the arts and the media? You have the wonderful opportunity to take a course on Italian Art &Architecture and Mass Communications in Italy during the Italy Summer Session I program.  Join us for an information session for ART 1790 and COM 8002 with Professor Alla Baeva and Professor Elizabeth DeLuna.

When Rome is your classroom, the possibilities are endless! Choose from a variety of Italian language courses to perfect your accent and expand your vocabulary. Colloquialisms and even slang will become second nature as you interact with people on the streets, at museums or in theaters. Whether ordering gelato at a local gelateria or an espresso at a café, this is the best way to strengthen your Italian language skills.
Michelangelo and Bernini, Titian and da Vinci – Rome has inspired many of the greatest artists in history. Through the Art and Architecture in Italy course, you’ll make the streets of Rome your classroom, wandering the city to uncover its architectural jewels.

Even more exciting are the excursions on this program. You’ll tour the cities of Venice, Montepulciano, Florence, and Assisi. Along the way, you will learn and experience firsthand what makes Italy (and Italians) unique! You will also visit the famous sites of Rome, such as the Arch of Constantine, the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Basilica of St. Peter, and more!

Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!
