February 14, 2011 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Global Studies Conference Room (Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall)

Are you a sports management major and want to study abroad? Here is your opportunity!! There's a course for undergraduate and graduate students. Study the emergence of the modern sport as well as the international perspectives of sports management in the Eternal City! Join us for an information session on the Sports Management courses for the Italy Summer Session I program with Professor Anthony Missere.

When Rome is your classroom, the possibilities are endless! Choose from a variety of Italian language courses to perfect your accent and expand your vocabulary. Colloquialisms and even slang will become second nature as you interact with people on the streets, at museums or in theaters. Whether ordering gelato at a local gelateria or an espresso at a café, this is the best way to strengthen your Italian language skills. Michelangelo and Bernini, Titian and da Vinci – Rome has inspired many of the greatest artists in history. Now it’s your turn to sketch the city through our Italian Sketchbook course. Or, through Art and Architecture in Italy, you’ll make the streets of Rome your classroom, wandering the city to uncover its architectural jewels.

In a single street, you’ll find magnificent examples of classic, baroque and renaissance art and architecture. You'll also get the chance to experience the heart of the Catholic Church, and even attend a Papal Audience at the Vatican.

Even more exciting are the excursions on this program. You’ll tour the ancient cities of Paestum, Pompeii, Florence, Naples, Siena, and Assisi, learning and experiencing firsthand what makes Italy (and Italians) unique! You will also visit the famous sites of Rome, such as the Arch of Constantine, the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Basilica of St. Peter, and more!

Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!
