My best experience while in South Africa was getting to explore the township of Soweto. From seeing the tribal dancing, eating traditional African cuisine at the Chez Alina restaurant, interacting with a multitude of delightful children, and visiting the historical landmark home of Nelson Mandela, this trip was everything I had envisioned of Africa. As we shared waves and smiles with all of the natives, it truly served as our welcoming into the country and established that we were in our home away from home.
