The Moot Court Honor Society Hosts Tenth Annual Milton Mollen Moot Court Competition

The Moot Court Honor Society hosted the Tenth Annual Milton Mollen Moot Court Competition on Monday, November 6, 2006 in the Belson Moot Court Room.  The four members of the St. John's Law School National Moot Court team argued the Fourth Amendment and Miranda rights issues that they will present at that National Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Committee on Young Lawyers of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American College of Trial Lawyers, on Wednesday, November 15, 2006.

Marisa Poe was awarded first place honors, while Holly Holecek finished in second place.  The runners up were Brandon Clar and Deirdre Tracey. 

The Competition was presided over by three of the School of Law's distinguished alumni:  Hon. Milton Mollen, '50, the retired Presiding Justice of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department and for whom the Mollen Competition is named, Hon. P. Kevin Castel, '75, a sitting judge in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, and Mary Kay Vyskocil, '83, a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.
