Guest Speaker: David Mendelsohn

Mr. Mendelsohn is the Corporate Research Manager at Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher of children’s books.  His responsibilities include designing and managing a vast array of both qualitative and quantitative research projects, supporting various internal business units, including Scholastic’s Book Clubs and Book Fairs, as well as promotions, corporate communications, strategy groups, marketing and external partnerships.

His research career spans 10+  years and includes work in advertising and brand consulting, consumer package design, customer satisfaction, large-scale international tracking studies and Pharmaceutical research.  His clients have included Heineken, EA Sports, Sony Playstation, Apple, FedEx, Travelers Insurance, adidas, Continental Airlines, The Islands of the Bahamas, Dunkin Donuts, Pfizer and much more.
 Mr. Mendelsohn began his career in Market Research as an assistant methodologist at the Center for Survey Research and Analysis.  He has since worked at NOP World (now GfK), Harris Interactive, and Hall & Partners, before moving to the client-side at Scholastic. He has advanced degrees in Sociology and Survey Research from the University of Connecticut.
