Professor Ruggieri, Esq., has been
employed at St. John’s University for 31 years; she has been
teaching courses in management, marketing and business full-time at
St. John’s since 1993. She has taught online courses
since 2002. Prior to teaching, she served as Associate
Vice President at the University, Dean of the College of
Professional Studies (1980-1993) and University Director of Study
Abroad (1986-1992). She is presently Dean
Emeritus of the College of Professional Studies.
Professor Ruggieri holds a Bachelor's Degree in History, and
a Master of Business Administration degree from the St. John's
University.
In 1998, she earned the Juris Doctor
degree from Brooklyn Law School and was awarded the Women in
Leadership Award by the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association. She has
also completed a year of graduate study at Brooklyn College,
(Caribbean Studies, Women's Studies, the Holocaust), City
University of New York.She is
admitted to the practice of law by three state bars: New York, New
Jersey and Connecticut. She is especially interested in
human resources, diversity in business, international aspects of
management and marketing, and developing trends in distance
learning.
