Antoinette Durso

Associate Professor of Mass Communications
Fordham University, BA; Columbia University, MA and M.S.Ed.

Prof. Durso has been teaching Communications at St. John's since 1980. She previously taught speech and English at the New York Institute of Technology. Having received her Bachelor's degree in Speech at Fordham University in Manhattan, Prof. Durso received two Masters Degree from Columbia University in the Communications field.

During her time at St. John's, Prof. Durso has been moderator of WSJU, the campus radio station for the past 10 years. She acted as Interim Director of the TV Center and Director of the Communications Program .She has taught a variety of courses including Communications in Society, Communications Technology, Television Performance, Introduction to Broadcasting and Announcing, Broadcast Announcer's Workshop, Publication Graphics, Media Copy Writing. She was instrumental in the development of the degree in Television and Film Studies. She is an active member of the Graduation Committee and a faculty advisor to Communications majors..

In spring 2000, Prof. Durso was selected Student Government "Professor of the Year" from the College of Professional Studies.
