Gain valuable real-world experience by interning at one of the many New York-area libraries and information organizations that partner with St. John’s.
Whether you choose to intern at an academic, public, special, or law library — or at another information-driven organization — you’ll grow personally and professionally through the practical, on-site application of your skills.
Internships are unpaid and must be completed under the supervision of a professional and credentialed librarian. The number of credits for the internship can vary up to three credits depending on the student’s program of study and host site’s requirements.
Host sites, host-site supervisors and interns will find valuable information in the Division of Library and Information Science Internship Handbooks:

Applying To Be a Host Site
