Communication Sciences and Disorders
Welcome to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders of the St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Department offers academic programs in both Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Speech-Language Pathologists are professionals who assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. Audiologists are professionals who diagnose, treat and help prevent hearing and balance problems. Both professions require a graduate degree for entry into the respective fields.
The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department provides students with hands on, clinical training in both Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in our Speech and Hearing Center.
