Analyst – Anglo Irish Bank
Although Colm has been an Analyst for Anglo Irish Bank for less than a year, “it feels a lot longer as my job responsibilities increase each week and the level of knowledge I have gained is immeasurable,” he says.
With a satellite office in New York, Anglo Irish Bank lends money to private equity firms, real estate trust and various funds who invest in commercial real estate. As an Analyst, Colm analyzes current markets with a view to lending, builds various financial models and interprets their results. “The Peter J. Tobin College of Business prepared me for the corporate environment by teaching me how to analyze a mass of information and use it to make key business decisions,” says Colm. “The biggest benefit of obtaining my degree from here was the wealth of knowledge and experience that the professors and students shared each day. The classes were engaging and interactive. I am presented with opportunities to the corporate capital of the world—New York—and specifically to a commercial real estate market that is second to none.”
