The Paramedic Refresher / Challenge program has adopted the National Emergency Medical Services Educational Standards and uses both on-line written and in class practical examinations to uncover areas of weakness in didactic knowledge and practical skill proficiency. The student will only be required to attend those sessions that are mandatory and the sessions related to the challenge exam topics the student failed.

All rules and regulations of the Paramedic refresher program will be outlined the first session of class as outlined in the Academic Guidelines. We have provided these Academic Guidelines for you to review prior to coming to class. These rules and regulations are strictly enforced as per the New York State Department of Health EMS Bureau, St. John’s University, and our accreditation agencies.
