Up to $20,000 per year towards tuition and mandatory fees for
completion of a two-year master’s degree at a U.S. based academic
institution. A $15,000 stipend for each academic year for room,
board books, and other education-related expenses. Up to $10,000
per year in stipend, housing, transportation, and related expenses
for summer internships.
The Graduate Fellowship deadline is January (Annually).
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applications must be in the
senior year of their undergraduate study or have completed their
undergraduate degree by June 2013 and must be seeking admission to
enter graduate school in the fall of 2013 for a two-year program.
Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or
higher on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
Students will need to send in background information, a personal
statement (600 words or less), a statement (500 words or less) that
discusses need for financial assistance, and a resume.
The Rangel Program is a collaborative effort between Howard
University and the U.S. State Department that seeks to attract and
prepare outstanding young people for careers as diplomats in the
