e2e is a graffiti term which means to cover a wall from end to end. Claudia Sbrissa has created an interactive installation that invites viewers to reflect and respond to 9/11 in a visual way. Sbrissa has transformed the front gallery into a space for both contemplation and activity by putting up large black panels which viewers are encouraged to draw, write, scribble and scratch on using white chalk. The panels are meant to accumulate a variety of markings and so change with each new entry. A privacy box will be provided for those who wish to submit their thoughts anonymously.
The piece will be on view 09/09 – 10/26, 2011. Come to the gallery and participate in this unique experience!
Claudia Sbrissa is a visual artist and an associate professor in the department of Fine Arts.
