Office of the Provost

As the chief academic officer, the Provost has broad responsibility for ensuring that the University’s faculty and programs are of the highest quality. In collaboration with other senior administrators and the deans of the colleges and schools and the dean of the libraries, she develops the University’s academic strategy and priorities and implements its academic plans and policies. She is responsible for the initiation and continuation of strong administrative services to support the University’s academic activities.

The Provost’s Office oversees academic appointments, promotions, tenure, and faculty affairs, supports faculty research, cultivates cutting-edge resources, develops long term academic financial plans, and manages the annual budget.
