Presentations on Growth Grant
Results
The CTL would like to invite you to presentations on the work
done by faculty given our Faculty Growth Grants. They have
interesting projects involving classroom innovations. All
three of these presenters have learned about new and powerful
technology tools for teaching a variety of subjects.
James Bethea, Human Services and
Counseling
Attended the Podcast Academy at Boston University, which gave him
the opportunity to learn how to create, distribute and use
podcasts.
Anne Dranginis, Biological Sciences
Attended a course on Computational and Comparative Genomics
at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in November 2006. It was an
extremely intensive in-residence one-week course in analyzing
protein and DNA sequences using computers.
Florin Catrina, Mathematics and Computer
Science
Participated in a workshop on WeBWork, a homework delivery system
initially intended for undergraduate mathematics classes. It
is widely used and recognized as a terrific teaching tool.
Please join us for food and conversation.
