ILL provides access to materials not available at St. John's, such
as books and articles.
Reference is the service by which librarians assist students and
faculty members in locating the information they need. Reference
questions may be asked in-person at the reference desk,
electronically through the "Ask Us!" service, or by
Materials are placed on reserve for your professor, and may include
reading or audiovisuals. Reserves may be either in print (available
only in the library) or electronic (accessible online).
SJ Libraries provide various forms of research instruction,
including drop-in workshops, online tutorials and class visits.
SJ Libraries support remote learners through online reference
services and extensive digital collections.
The IMC collects and disseminates specialized information,
including curriculum guides, textbooks and accompanying materials,
audio-visual teaching aids and hardware, three-dimensional learning
tools, publisher and distributor catalogs, educational and
psychological tests, computers and software.
The collection includes more than 3,000 DVD and video titles,
supportive of curriculum and research, which may be borrowed by
faculty members or viewed at the Media Center.
