Finding Articles Online

By Database

The St. John's University Libraries subscribe to dozens of databases covering a wide range of subject areas. Thousands of electronically available journals and full-text articles are accessible to you from any place in the world. The key to accessing these publications is your St. John's user name and password (the one you use for your St. John's Central account).

Linking to our electronic databases is as simple as visiting the Libraries' home page, then clicking either: Databases A-Z or Databases by Subject to find a database that covers the topic in which you are interested.

These databases are designed so that you can enter your search terms and find articles on your own. However, you are invited to use the Libraries' 24 hour Ask us! reference service if you would like some additional assistance.

By Title of Journal or Magazine

Sometimes you may have the title of a magazine, journal or newspaper and wish to know if St. John's has it available electronically.  The  Libraries' Full Text eJournals page will usually give you that information.  If you don't find a title listed there please be sure to double-check with a librarian via our Ask us! reference service.

The  Full Text eJournals page also allows you to browse for journals by subject.
