New Testament Abstracts (EBSCO) - Contains abstracts for New Testament studies dating back to 1985.

Old Testament Abstracts (EBSCO) - Indexing and abstracts for Old Testament studies dating back to 1978.

Proquest Religion - Full text articles from religious news sources and journals, dating back to 1986.

ProQuest Digital Dissertations - Doctoral dissertations and master's theses dating as far back as 1861. Full text for recent and notable publications.

Oxford Reference Online Premium Religion & Philosophy - Includes Oxford theology-subject dictionaries (including Bible, Buddhism, Byzantium, Popes, Saints) and broader dictionaries covering Christian Church and World Religions, also offers Encyclopedias (of Enlightenment, Middle Ages, Reformation), and a "Companion Series" to people and places of the bible and to the Jewish Religion.

Credo Reference Religion - Contains reference sources related to religion, among other subjects. Includes online versions of the The Holy Bible (King James Version), The Qur'an, Biblical Atlas, a Book of Bible Quotations, as well as Dictionaries covering Myths, the Bible, and Hindu and Jewish Lore and Legend.

Primary Documents of the Catholic Church on the Web

Vatican Archive: This multi-lingual archive includes electronic copies of the Bible, Catechism of the Catholic church, Canon Law, and all the documents from Vatican II. The website also provides copies of encyclicals, homilies, letters, speeches, organized by Pope or by title of the document.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB): Documents specific to the American Catholic Church and Offered by American Bishops can be found under the "Church Documents" section.

Catholic Encyclopedia (1913 edition): provides scholarly entries on persons and subjects related to Catholicism, including some primary documents from the Church Fathers, Aquinas’ Summa Theologica, etc It might be consulted as an historical work, covering “pre-Vatican II” stances on some issues. Note that the The New Catholic Encyclopedia (2nd ed., 2003, in the Gale Virtual Reference Library, above) supercedes the free, but outdated, entries.
