ProQuest Digital Dissertations & Theses [ How do I?] - An index to Doctoral Dissertations back to 1861. A limited number of Master’s theses are also included. Abstracts of dissertations are available online back to 1980. Abstracts of dissertations prior to 1980 must be obtained via the Libraries' interlibrary loan service. From 1997 forward the full-text of doctoral dissertations is available online.

Directory of Dissertations in Progress - "contains 3,822 dissertations in progress at 179 academic departments in Canada and the U.S."
