What a Friend Is
A Friend of the Libraries is a member of an active organization of
individuals from all walks of life united in the conviction that
libraries play a vital role in the education of tomorrow’s
leaders.
Moreover, a Friend shares in the satisfaction of supporting
worthwhile programs and projects designed to enrich the St. John’s
educational experience while enjoying the fellowship of like-minded
individuals.
A Friend's Gift Makes a
Difference
A Friend, through their gifts, assists the Libraries in achieving
its goals to nourish and support the teaching, research and
services of the University by acquiring scholarly resources,
developing innovative services, and applying new information
technologies to meet the needs of users.
A Friend may make a monetary contribution to a designated book
fund, to the unrestricted library fund, or donate materials.
A Friend’s support also makes possible lectures, exhibits,
receptions, and other events that highlight the significance of the
Library and honor their donors.
