Axco Insurance Market Reports [Access is restricted to the Manhattan

Axco is an
independent provider of detailed insurance market information
covering over 165 countries. As well as proving an essential daily tool

Hoover's
Online [Available only on SJU campuses]
Hoover's Online is an excellent source for basic information on
more than 11,000 public and private U.S. companies and
international companies. Resources includes company overviews,
history, news, officers, employees, locations & subsidiaries,
products/operations, competitors, financial reports, stock quotes,
SEC filings, and full-text news articles. Hoover's provides access
to brief company information (capsule) or a complete report
(profile). This site also provides links to company homepages,
history, mission statements, and public companies' 10-K and annual
reports. There are also 50+ industry reports, which discuss the
history of the industry, provide statistics and corporate
players
IAC
INSITE [Access is restricted to the
Manhattan Campus]
The IAC INSITE service consists of several data sets. The Davis
Library subscribes to: Business INSITE,
Market INSITE, Newsletter INSITE, andCompany INSITE. The first 3 databases can be
searched individually or together. One of the notable features in
the Newsletter database is that it includes approximately 500
specialized international newsletters many of which are not
available anywhere else online. The IAC files are especially useful
for questions dealing with a specific company, a subsidiary or a
privately-held organization. Consider using IAC In-Site for
research on industry trends, new product development, competitive
intelligence, and market data.
InfoUSA

ISIS [Access is restricted to the Manhattan
Campus]
The ISIS database consists of comprehensive detailed
reports on public and private insurance companies around the world.
ISIS contains information on over 6,400 companies with a total
of 7,600 statements.Over 100 different countries are covered.
Integral analysis software allows you to compare companies against
each other and produce tables and graphs to illustrate your
results. These can be downloaded into most packages.
ProQuest [Available only on SJU
campuses]
The ProQuest database is an excellent
online resource for broad-based business research with access to
one of the world's largest collections of information, including
summaries of articles from over 8,000 publications. ProQuest offers a deep backfile with many
journals dating back to the 1970's.
TheStreet.com [Access is

TheStreet.com contains the Financial Strength
Ratings of: 6,000 common stocks with buy, sell, hold
recommendations; 16,000 mutual funds; 9,000 banks & thrifts;
and 4,000 property, life and health insurance companies
