Ms. Crystal Vera, Coordinator of Academic Service Learning on
the Staten Island Campus, began her career at St. John’s University
as an undergraduate student 5 years ago. Crystal’s short time
at her Alma Mater can best be described as multi-faceted. She
was a member of the President’s Society, the first Discover the
World expedition, Student Government, and participated in numerous
service activities. Crystal completed her undergraduate
degree as a Government and Politics major, magna cum laude.
Currently she is in the Master of Professional Studies program,
working on her post graduate work as a Criminal Justice Leadership
major.
“I look forward to this position and all of its collaborative
endeavors between faculty, students and our community in
need. I’m a part of an extraordinarily supportive team, and
together, we will re-energize the Academic Service-Learning program
on Staten Island,” said Ms. Vera.
