About 5 years ago Ms. Melanie Serge-Roth came to St. John’s and
initially worked with Information Technology. After about 2 ½ years
she moved into the Academic Service-Learning Department. Ms. Serge
is currently working as the Assistant Director of Academic
Service-Learning and her main responsibilities include student site
placement as well as faculty site coordination. She is available
for early class presentations on Academic Service-Learning.
“I hope to continue developing and expanding the department of
Academic Service-Learning. Most importantly, I hope to develop a
mandatory first and third year service-learning component.”
