Mr. John D. Carrion has been at St. John’s for the past 14
months. As Assistant Director of Academic Service-Learning and
Coordinator of the Ozanam Scholar’s Program, Mr. Carrion is
responsible for the planning, execution and overall success of the
Ozanam Scholar’s Program. He also works with the faculty of the
Global Studies department in an effort to implement international
Service-Learning.
“I hope to provide the students with a well-rounded experience
by helping to develop their skills and give them the tools to
combat poverty and fight for social justice. I am working towards
creating a holistic approach to introducing academic
service-learning to our global programs.
