Nature and Purpose of Agency
Residential facility for the aging with 65 single room
occupancies. Queen of Peace Residence provides the following
to all their residents;
Activities services, dental services, dietary services,
housekeeping services, mental health services, nursing services,
occupational therapy services, pharmacy services, physical therapy
services, physician services, podiatry services, social work
service, speech/language pathology services, and diagnostic xray
services are provided onsite to residents.
The facilities are equipped with a beauty salon, theatre,
kitchen and baking center, craft center and store.
Tasks Available for Students
Various tasks are available for students including; visiting and
transporting residents (by wheelchair), developing interpersonal
relationships, recreation and reading to residents, teaching a
baking course, arts and crafts, assisting in the beauty salon, and
shopping for residents.
Time Requirements
Will work with student’s schedule. Queens of Peace Residence
can accommodate students during the following hours; seven days a
week, 9am – 7pm.

cross over Hempstead Turnpike (24). Approximately 3-4 blocks
down, make a left onto 221st. Queens of Peace Residence will
be on the left.
