Nature and Purpose of Agency
A non-profit agency providing multiple social services to low and
moderate income population(s) of Glen Cove and neighboring
communities.
Tasks Available for Students
SJU students can participate in tutorial programs for
elementary/middle school students; assist at the Day Workers Center
and perform office administration.
Time Requirements
Tutorial: 2:30–6 p.m., Monday - Friday
Day Workers: 6–10 a.m.
Office hours: 9 a.m–5 p.m.
Student Awareness/Special
Instructions
- Volunteers must attend a Planning and Staff development
orientation.
- Volunteers must provide written evaluations of services
performed.
- Volunteers must be culturally sensitive.
Agency Directions
Long Island Expressway to exit 39North (Glen Cove Road). Travel
approximately six miles and make a right onto Pulaski Street. Make
a left onto Glen Street.
