All students (including visiting students) participating in
any St. John's University study abroad program (semester,
summer, exchange, etc) are provided with international health
insurance through CISI (Cultural Insurance Services International).
Students will be enrolled in this coverage by
the Office of Global Studies and will
receive an email from CISI providing information regarding
online registration and will be able to print an insurance
card.
CISI is an invaluable resource for students and can connect
students with local healthcare providers and pharmacies. CISI
works directly with students to arrange for a doctor’s appointment
if needed. In the event of an emergency, CISI will begin
to assist immediately and on-call STJ staff will communicate
with CISI to coordinate services.
For more detailed information on CISI coverage and user
benefits click on the
CISI Information Sheet or refer to the CISI website.
