You’ll find that St. John’s Global Studies experiences are more
affordable than you think. Last year we issued over $250,000 in aid
to St. John’s students per semester.
If you decide that studying abroad through St. John’s is right
for you, we’ll do everything we can to make your experience work
for you financially:
St. John’s Students
The tuition and fees for Discover the World or a semester in Rome
will be roughly the same as for a semester living on campus. You
can apply most components of your financial aid toward your study
abroad costs, including federal and state grants, federal student
loans and university scholarships and grants. Most importantly,
eligible students are strongly encouraged to apply for additional
aid for a study abroad semester. There are external scholarships
available that you may apply for, in addition to financial aid.
Visiting Students
If you’re a visiting student, you may find the costs similar
to those of a term at your home institution, but we also offer
financial aid. Whether through a consortium agreement with your
home institution or through St. John’s-provided aid, we’ll work
with you to make the semester of your dreams affordable.
All Students
Whether you’re a visiting student or a St. John’s student, consider
applying for some of the many external scholarship opportunities
available to finance your semester abroad. Our Office of Global
Studies has compiled a list of available scholarships, but please
note that some require you to apply as far as a year before your
study abroad semester, so start early.
