French Visa Steps and
Information:
All students obtaining French visas through
our office will be required to attend an appointment at the French
Consulate in New York during the summer. If you live outside of the
New York City area and you will be unable to travel to the
consulate on the scheduled date (TBA) please let us know
immediately.
The group visa processing fee is $200.00 and will be
applied to your student account.
Step 1: Complete the Campus France
registration process by April 15.
In order to apply for a French student visa, you first need to
apply for and receive clearance from the Campus France
organization. Then we can submit your visa application to the
French Consulate.
Because we know the Campus France application process can seem
daunting - we've organized two workshops for you to come and apply
with the assistance of an OGS staff member. We'll walk you through
the application and you'll be done in no time! PLEASE BRING A COPY
OF YOUR PASSPORT OR HAVE YOUR PASSPORT NUMBER AVAILABLE FOR THIS
WORKSHOP.
Let us know if you are unable to attend one of the following
workshops:
Campus France Workshop: Thursday, April 11 (2-3pm) Sullivan
205
Make-Up Session: Thursday, April 25 (2-3pm) Sullivan
205
If
you can't make one of these workshops, you will need to complete
the Campus France Registration process on your own and email
us with your Campus France registration number by April 25.

Step 2: Complete the visa
application and collect all required documents before May
3.
Please use the French Visa Application and Checklist as it contains
details regarding each requirement. We can only accept completed
application packets (this includes your passport) so make sure the
appropriate forms are notarized and you’ve made all the necessary
photocopies (we can help with the photocopying if need be). Follow
the checklist exactly and you shouldn’t have any
issues!

Step 4: RSVP and make plans to
attend a French Consulate appointment.
While we are processing the application on your behalf, the French
Consulate still needs you to complete the biometrics process in
person. This means you'll need to go to the consulate to have your
fingerprints and photographs taken. We've arranged shuttles from
the Queens and Staten Island campuses to take you to the consulate
for our very own biometrics processing appointment!
Please note that you MUST attend one of these appointments
or you will not get a visa to go abroad!
Appointment 1: TBA
- Bus leaves at 1:30pm sharp!
- Queens Campus: Meet by Carnesseca Auditorium
- Staten Island Campus: Meeting place TBD
Appointment 2: TBA

pickup. If you need your passport mailed to you, please let
us know.
