Visa Instructions

     Visa Application Due: May 3

Unless you’re a European Union citizen, you will need a visa to study abroad. As a Discover the World student, you will be obtaining a visa from the first country of your program. While you will need to prepare the visa application and supporting documents, we’ll apply for the visa on your behalf!

What this means for you is that instead of making an appointment and going to the consulate yourself to submit your application, you'll simply submit a completed application along with the required supporting documents to the Office of Global Studies by May 3. We'll then apply on your behalf at our scheduled group application appointment.

Once you've received your rotation assignment (beginning February 15), you can begin preparing your visa application and collecting the required documents. Please click on the your rotation order below and read the instructions carefully! If you do not get a visa, for any reason, you cannot attend the program.

If your cohort rotation starts in France, you'll be required to attend an appointment at the French Consulate in New York during the summer. Let us know immediately if that will be a problem.

Please note that all Discover the World students are required to utilize the group visa process. It is not possible for you to get a visa for this program.

*The visa processing fee is $180.00 and will be applied to your student account.

Rotation 1:   Starts in Seville

Rotation 2:  Starts in Paris

Rotation 3:  Starts in Rome
